Theory Test
The theory test is done in two parts. One part is a multiple choice test and the other is a hazard perception test. You will need to complete and pass both to pass it. After you pass the theory test you can take your practical driving test. Click here for more information

Your driving test starts by checking your eyesight and testing you on some vehicle safety questions. Your practical test then starts and will include some maneuvers.
The test lasts about 40 minutes. In the test, your examiner will be looking for a safe standard of driving; this includes the time when you are doing set exercises. You can only have 15 driving faults or under to pass the test (over 16 would be a fail). If you have a serious or dangerous fault you will also fail.
